Tau Kung was born in Louisiana, grew up in Kansas, and lived in the Northeast for a while before landing in Colorado, where he now resides with his family.
 
On the technical side, he has a background in energy engineering, where his previous publications were full of numbers and graphs and entirely lacking in comedic timing. He hopes to change this with his first novel.
